  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish. Place the pie crust in the dish and press it evenly on the bottom and sides. Trim and flute the edges.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg together until well combined.
  3. Sprinkle the cheese over the bottom of the pie crust. If you want to add any fillings, layer them over the cheese.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese and fillings, making sure to cover them evenly.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the quiche is golden and set in the center. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
